Connect your domain and turn on HTTPS
Point a domain at your server so Caddy can get a free HTTPS certificate automatically.
Zelvynta CRM uses Caddy for HTTPS. When you give Caddy a real domain, it gets a free certificate from Let's Encrypt and renews it for you.
Point the domain at your server
In your DNS provider, create an A record for your domain. Set its value to your server's public IPv4 address.
DNS changes can take a while to reach everyone. Wait until the domain resolves to your server before you continue.
Add the domain to your settings
Open the settings file:
nano .envChange SITE_ADDRESS from localhost to your domain, without https://:
SITE_ADDRESS=crm.example.comSave the file.
Restart Caddy
docker compose -f infra/compose/docker-compose.yml up -d --force-recreate caddyOpen your domain
Go to https:// followed by your domain. Plain http:// addresses move to https:// automatically.
Note
With SITE_ADDRESS=localhost, Caddy uses its own certificate instead. Browsers show a warning for it. That setting
is only for testing.
If the certificate doesn't arrive, see Troubleshooting.
